Hanson Silo was founded in Lake Lillian, Minnesota, in 1916 by Emil Hanson, a local farmer who envisioned a better silo product for himself and for his neighbors. His goal: manufacture an improved product at the best price with the lowest upkeep. For over 100 years and through four generations, the Hanson family has been involved with agriculture and has grown to symbolize quality, economy and dependability.
We also offer full-scale repair services, which include installing replacement doors and replastering an existing silo, as well as knockdowns or teardowns. We’ve been working on silos for over 100 years.

Have an old bottom unloading silo giving you issues?
Convert your bottom unloader to a top unloader with Hanson’s steel or concrete conversion kit. Our conversion kit will allow you to ensile at a higher moisture content to improve and preserve feed quality, and as a result, you will eliminate the high cost of maintenance and bottom unloading problems.
Old structure need some reinforcing?
Secure your spherical structure and increase ductility with Hanson’s rods and hoops. We can provide replacement and additional hoops for safety of the hopper bottom steel bins. These hoops have integrated vibration to loosen the stored content, preventing the bolted seams from failure. Water tanks made of wood are also a great candidate for Hanson’s safety rods.
Looking to upgrade cell reception?
Adding a cellular antenna to your silo is an easy way to enhance cellular capabilities on your property for significantly less per vertical foot than conventional metal towers. Hanson can mount an antenna on the outside of the wall or inside under a fiberglass roof. They are strong enough to endure unfavorable weather conditions and support many carriers.
