Business Development Coordinator “Sales”

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) is the key link between Hanson Silo and its prospects and customers. Using Hanson’s business roadmap plan, our BDC has the opportunity to sell our products including: extron grain monitoring system, cattle feed storage and handling, commercial bulk storage, valmetal farm equipment, powdercoat painting and more. The BDC will report directly to Mike Hanson, the director of business development.

Successful Hanson Silo Sales team members demonstrate the following: tenacity, confidence, and the ability to communicate well with farmers. These skills are acquired through on- the- job training and continuous self-development.

  • Primary functions include: Warm calling leads
  • cross-selling our livestock and grain products
  • working trade shows
  • quickly quoting and following up on quotes.
  • Be the owner/operator of Outbound marketing campaign newsletter using Salesforce
  • activity will be tracked in
  • Be focused on specific product lines e.g. Extron or Easy Rake as directed.
  • Manage and shop outbound freight quotes shipping product to customers.
  • Providing technical/clerical support to the sales team. Develop skills to analyze business
  • identify opportunities for improvement
  • and create customer selling stories to be used by the field sales organization.
  • Will be in the office most of the time.
Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be organized
  • flexible
  • and possess good verbal and communication skills
  • Must possess valid drivers license
  • Must have strong computing skills: preferably in Google Apps & CRM or quick ability to learn.
  • Positive attitude and serious work ethic.
  • Goal-Oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Preferably have basic understanding of financial concepts such as cost
  • selling price
  • margin and profit.
  • Must be able to multitask and prepared to manage a wide variety of responsibilities that can change on a daily basis.
